Dreaming of Spring

Spring is right around the corner, HOPEFULLY! Now I know that it doesn't look very springy here.... and that's because it's not. This whole post is a product of some major wishful thinking. And yes, my cat's legs do make an appearance in this blog post. It was bound to happen eventually.

"Fall" in Love with Red

Fall is the perfect time to wear colors like red, orange, army green, and deep purple. Most of these colors also transfer into the colder months too. Blue jeans vests are universal to all seasons, so you can wear them year around. Black boots are always a much needed staple in every wardrobe. Hippy shirts and cuffed jeans are most definitely back in style, and in my opinion they go together effortlessly.

This blue jean vest is a little distressed and its been a real outfit saver; you can pair it with practically anything! It's from Aeropostale. Flowy sleeves are all the rage for summer and fall, along with the patchwork patterns. This shirt came from a local boutique called Southern Threads (you can find them on Instagram). 

Rolled skinny jeans are back! THE 80'S ARE BACK....... and in the best way possible. This particular pair of red skinnies came from Hollister, and I snagged them on sale! The black boots are the same ones from the previous post, from Forever 21.

Casual Winter Go-To

 

 

Colder days call for long sleeves and cute boots. The chambray shirt is a must-have for winter, it's versatile and goes with just about anything. The one I'm wearing here is from JC Penney and its a bit lighter wash. The shirt underneath is a short sleeved shirt with a chiffon trim around the bottom from Forever 21. The shirt has various pink tones and a distressed looking pattern to it. The necklace I got at a local jewelry show we have for $5. It's more of coral than pink, but it brings out the more coral tones in the shirt. The boots I'm wearing have little sliver zips on the outside and they are also from Forever 21. The black pants are the super skinny style from Hollister. Maybe the next time you're at a loss for a cute winter outfit, try pairing a chambray shirt with some cute black boots and you'll be good to go!
