Hey guys! I know it's been a while but I have something exciting to share with you all. This past week I wrote my first article for my school's newspaper (Bryan Triangle) featuring this very outfit. I know, I'm writing a fashion column. I'm so excited and I can't wait to see where this takes me. Hopefully, this will help me keep up-to-date with the blog. Now on to this lovely fall outfit. Can I just say how much I love this sweater? (And the pants and the shirt, too) Oh, these pictures were taken around campus by the girl who lives across the hall from me, Helen. Most of this awesome outfit comes from the wonderland known as Target. The shirt and sweater are both from Target and the pants are from American Eagle. The shoes you guys already know. This shirt is perfect for wearing under sweaters but because it's sleeveless its also great for summer as well. Seeing how the weather is still hot, that might come in handy. These pants are so amazingly comfortable that I almost can't believe it. I have them cuffed once even though they are already cropped. I love the trend of pants that sit right above your shoes. This pattern in this shirt bring in all the fall colors; orange, yellow, green, and a bit of blue.
I do have on a rose gold/copper necklace and my Pandora ring. I thought the copper would go nicely with the orange theme. The converse were definitely a personal choice heavily influenced by the weather. Boots could absolutely take their place as it gets colder and still look just as great. I hope you guys have enjoyed this one, I know I did. I wish I could sit and talk about fashion all day but the homework is calling so I must go. Happy Saturday and GO VOLS!!!!!
As you all have probably figured out by now, I've started college. Now this has been a major change for me and I've been extremely busy. The whole experience so far has been pretty great. I've made some great new friends and had loads of fun. However, this doesn't mean there hasn't been times when I've wanted to just go home and sleep in my bed and hug my mom. (Just FYI the showers are tiny.) College is meant to prepare us for life. So far, I think I'm getting just that. I've done laundry, went grocery shopping, and bought a new computer. The adult life is hard guys.
This picture was taken the first weekend I was here. A group of us went downtown and wandered around, got some ice cream, and walked til we dropped. We got some ice cream at this great place called the Ice Cream Show. I took loads of pictures and meet some really nice girls. In case you guys were wondering, these pants are the artist cropped from American Eagle. That shirt is just a t-shirt from The Back Porch in Destin (it's really amazing BTW). I've also got on my Nike free run 5.0 which I absolutely love. I don't know what I did before I had these.
This picture was from the drive home from practice last night. The sunset over this bridge has been absolutely amazing every night. It almost makes the long day on the course and the equally long drive worth it. I really love sunsets. If you never watch sunsets then you should. They allow you to stop and pause for a moment and just take in the world around you. I can honestly say I've never seen an ugly sunset before.
These two are my newest team mates and best friends. Now they are two of the funniest nuts I've ever meet in my life. The gal one the left is Helen and the one in the middle is Harley. Helen lives across the hall from me, and Harley is my suite mate. We spend most of our time laughing about something stupid we just did or ranting about the grill not having any curly fries. I know this wasn't my normal type of blog post but I thought you guys might like an update anyway. I think maybe I'll do more like this every once in a while just so you guys have something. After all, something is better than nothing.
Happy Saturday guys! I'm officially a college freshman as of Thursday. Classes don't start until Tuesday but I'm all moved in and sort of settled. It's been a weird change but things have been really busy. We've been running all over campus and town, getting used to everything. There are several ice cream places around and I'm reaching my daily step goals. I hope I can fight off that freshman 15, so far so good. I hope if any of you guys have moved in recently that all is well and your roommates are all nice. Now enough with the life updates and back to the real reason we're here.
I am currently ride or die for this shirt. It so incredibly comfortable and it goes with just about everything in my closet. The shirt and the kimono are both from Forever 21. Now I am mixing patterns here but the stripes on the shirt are very subtle whereas the pattern on the kimono is very busy. I do have this half tucked because I felt like it looked very long and heavy untucked. This outfit would also look very cute with some brown sandals, which would also give it a more beachy look. Personally, I would wear this a lot in the summer because it feels very summery but it could be very hot. I'm all about staying cool when it's really hot out. Drink plenty of water and find shade, that's my mission. This would be good for those cooler nights, like at the beach or through the city. Well guys, that's all I have for you this week! Happy Saturday guys! I hope you've all had a spectacular week and weekend so far. Mine's been quite swell but this is the last Saturday before all my friends leave for college. But let's not talk about that, let's talk about this cute little outfit we got here. First things first (I'm the realest), these overalls are extremely comfortable and since they're a grey, they go with just about everything. They are from Aeropostale but I'm had them for years. They finally fit good now. They were a part of the Bethany Mota collection. Now I've put this shirt with them for several reasons. First being this shirt is so colorful and brings a pop to the outfit. Second, this shirt is just so amazing for summertime.
You can probably guess that this outfit is very hot. Naturally, I wouldn't suggest it for those of you with very warm summers, like myself. However, it would look nice for a night at the beach or a cooler night out with friends. In the winter months, I like to wear this with a sweater underneath and the same shoes. I do have the pants cuffed here because the legs of these pants are very straight and I don't always like that look on myself. I would wear them cuffed all the time simply because I really love the cuffed look but that is completely a personal preference. Whatever makes you feel good. You do you and look like a rockstar. Style is really a personal thing when you get down to it. I'm a firm believer that if it's something you like then you should wear it. As for shopping, if you don't love it in the store, you wont wear it. As you can see, these overalls have lots of pockets and they are all very good pockets. the front and back pockets are huge. the ones on the top are good too. Now in the fall this would be cute with a fall top and cardigan and some cute combat boots too. I guess that's all for today guys. Well there I went skipping weeks again. Sorry about it guys, I promise I'll try harder. My regular photographer has been working her butt off lately so maybe we can get back on a schedule soon. Now this outfit has been tested and proven by yours truly. I did, however have some help though from my lovely friend (and photographer) Rilee. We went to see the new movie "Nerve" last night and she came over while I was trying to decide on outfits. I asked, "Do you like this better tucked and with the white cape thing?" She said, " I liked tucked with the cape thing the best." What would I do without her? Oh in case you were wondering, the movie was really good too. Dave Franco is so cute and Emma Roberts is goals. Plus, Machine Gun Kelly was pretty cool too. ;)
Now on to the details, this shirt and "white cape thing" are from Forever 21 and they were pretty recent purchases. These shorts are from American Eagle but they aren't on the website anymore. This necklace is form the local $5 jewelry show. My ring was a gift from my mom for graduation but it's one of the Pandora rings. These are the other pair of sunglasses I talked about in my last post. Now if you wanted to dress this up a little you could add a cute pair of sandals instead of black converse. It would also look just as good untucked and without the kimono (I guess that's what we'll call it). I just love this shirt and kimono. The shirt has very thin horizontal stripes and the kimono has some lace inlets in the front and back. Well y'all, I guess that's all for today!

Woah guys, it's been a hot minute since I've had an outfit for you wonderful people!! This week has been extremely crazy and not in the best way. I wont overload you with details but it does feel good to be back. Now I know we've seen this shirt and vest before but not together. I wore this outfit a few weeks ago to Father's Day diner with my papaw and I knew i just had to blog it for you guys!
This shirt, vest, and hat are all from Forever 21. I have to say again how much I love this vest. It is so soft and so fun. This outfit is definitely hippy inspired with the fringe vest, big sleeves, and floppy hat. Now if you wanted to dress this up a little, you could swap the shorts (from American Eagle BTW) with some cropped pants and booties and maybe add a cute necklace. These fabulous sunglasses are from Charming Charlie and they were 2 for $15 so you might see the other pair later. The other ones are my Jaclyn Hill sunglasses because she's the bomb (her channel: Jaclyn Hill). If you're not obsessed with makeup, you will be after you watch her.
Well well well, what do with have here? Two, slightly overweight, little furballs who I love dearly. It's no doubt that I am a total cat person and I have no shame in it either. I love fashion almost as much as I love them! I hope you all have had a good summer so far and always remember to make time for your friends. My friends and I will all be off to college this fall (me by myself) and I know I'll miss them all like crazy. I had thought of doing a dorm room haul because some of the stuff I've found is too cute not to share, so let me know if you guys are down for that.
