Summer Forever

Woah guys, it's been a hot minute since I've had an outfit for you wonderful people!! This week has been extremely crazy and not in the best way. I wont overload you with details but it does feel good to be back. Now I know we've seen this shirt and vest before but not together. I wore this outfit a few weeks ago to Father's Day diner with my papaw and I knew i just had to blog it for you guys! 

 This shirt, vest, and hat are all from Forever 21. I have to say again how much I love this vest. It is so soft and so fun. This outfit is definitely hippy inspired with the fringe vest, big sleeves, and floppy hat. Now if you wanted to dress this up a little, you could swap the shorts (from American Eagle BTW) with some cropped pants and booties and maybe add a cute necklace. These fabulous sunglasses are from Charming Charlie and they were 2 for $15 so you might see the other pair later. The other ones are my Jaclyn Hill sunglasses because she's the bomb (her channel: Jaclyn Hill). If you're not obsessed with makeup, you will be after you watch her. 

Well well well, what do with have here? Two, slightly overweight, little furballs who I love dearly. It's no doubt that I am a total cat person and I have no shame in it either. I love fashion almost as much as I love them! I hope you all have had a good summer so far and always remember to make time for your friends. My friends and I will all be off to college this fall (me by myself) and I know I'll miss them all like crazy. I had thought of doing a dorm room haul because some of the stuff I've found is too cute not to share, so let me know if you guys are down for that. Hello Summer

Happy Saturday guys! Now you might be wondering where I've been or who this is, so I'll tell you. The last Saturday in May was my graduation and the next Saturday, I was on my way back from the beach. Now this new person in the pictures is my best friend, Tesla, who doesn't really know how to model but it's okay. Now that you're all caught up, let's get down to it. This is one of my favorite go-to summer outfits.

 This shirt I've had for ages and it came from Forever 21. This shirt is the perfect shade of grey for summer, not too dark not too light. It's also not very thick so it's great for those hot summer days or nights. Now these shorts just scream summer with that palm tree design. They came from American Eagle and they are super comfy. I have the shirt half tucked in the front just because I like how it looks but that's totally a personal preference. You could also put i cute belt with it, to make the tuck stand out more. I've also paired this outfit with black high top Converse to give a more laid back feel to it. 

The bracelet here is the same one from a few posts ago. The white band means it goes with just about whatever you need it to. In this picture, we also get a better look at those shorts. They make me wish I was back at the beach. Well guys, I guess that's all for today. Hopefully, I'll get back on schedule now that things are slowing down a bit! Summer Flannels

Happy Saturday guys!! My hair is a little crazy in this post but then again, it always is. My cat does make yet another appearance but he's cute so it's okay. Let's dive in, shall we? This crop top is from Forever 21 and so is the flannel. I'd like to point out that this is my new favorite flannel of all time. It's so amazingly comfortable and wonderful. Now you may be wondering, Emily why are you raving about flannels, its May? Well, flannels aren't just for the winter months anymore. Tying one around the waist has become quite the trend as of late. Especially with crop tops such as this one we have here. This shirt is an oldie but a goodie. When I wear crop tops or shirts that are made to sit right at the waistline, I always wear my cami tucked in. That's just a personal preference though.   

 These wonderful blue jean shorts came from American Eagle and they were on sale!!! These are the midi, denim ones in a medium wash. They are, honestly, the most comfortable shorts ever. I've been living in them and the other pair I got. Now in the picture, I have them cuffed twice but you could just go once or not at all. The pockets in these shorts are actually really good, in case you wanted to know. Most pockets on women's clothes are barely even considered pockets. These, however, are the exception. 

You guys know the drill... white high top converse all day, every day. I live in these shoes and that's the truth. I wish I had bought a pair sooner but now that I have these I hardly wear anything else. The only compliant I have is the material is very hard to clean but other than that these are my favorite shoes at the moment. And hey, there's my cat! Hey Waddles! These bracelets were all gifts so I have no clue where they're from but hey, they sure are cute. The bigger one has an arrow on it and the other one is just simple beads. That floral one isn't actually a bracelet. It's a Vera Bradley hair bow but I wear it all the time. This ring was from my mamaw and sadly, it only fits on my pinky but I'll make it work. Next Saturday's post might look a little different as I will be doing an outfit of the day, so keep an eye out!

Berry Casual

 Happy Saturday all you lovely readers! This blog post is brought to you from the lamp post in the park. Nothing says summer quite like going to the park and being a little kid again. I actually stood on this lamp post but it got a little wobbly so I quickly planted my feet on the ground. This outfit is very casual but very good for summer. Looking absolutely fashionable in the heat of summer is not always fun, so simple is key. 


This shirt is from Forever 21 and its just the bees knees. They had these with all different things on them other than strawberries. I think shirts like this are just great for summer, not to heavy and very fun. These shorts are from American Eagle and they are the same ones from a few posts back. I did recently get some midi denim shorts from American Eagle that would also look good with this. I like these shorts so much because they have a nice length and fit good, plus they come in a wide range of colors and patterns. The shoes I've got on here are the white high top converse, but black ones would look just as good here too. I've really been loving wearing high tops with shorts lately. Cute but Classy

Woah, I skipped a week there! It's okay because I'm back now. If you were wondering, I was helping my friend do some bomb prom makeup. Anyway, this outfit is so adorable and it makes me feel kind of fancy without being over the top. We also have a new background there and I'm really enjoying it, so I hope you guys like it too. Hopefully there will be more with the river when it goes down a little more.

 These wonderful patterned shorts are from JC Penney. They are the most amazing shorts ever! They're so soft and extremely comfortable. The fact that they're black and white means you can wear them with just about anything. Although, since they are patterned, I would suggest mainly solid tops. Like this great blue one I've got on (wink, wink). This top is from Forever 21 and I've had it a few weeks maybe. It's also got this great lace detail around the neckline, which makes it perfect for spring and summer. Yes, I know it needs to be ironed. The only complaint I have with this shirt is that it's dry clean only.


These sandals I've had for ages but they came from Shoe Show once upon a time. You would never know from these pictures, but I actually hate wearing sandals. But you know what, do it for the blog!! You could dress with outfit up a bit by adding some small wedges or dressier sandals if you wanted. For this look, was just going for cute not dressy. 










This bracelet was a Christmas present from my mamaw. It's one of those Lenny and Eva bracelets. Mine says FEARLESS because I'm a major Taylor Swift fan and that's one of her big things. Be fearless about yourself and wear what makes you feel pretty. These bracelets are completely cutsomizable and the choices are endless. I think that's all for this Saturday. I would also like to wish all the moms a very happy mother's day. My mom has been a huge fashion inspiration in my life and she also takes some of these pictures. I couldn't do life without her.  

Casual Summer Vibes

 

 Happy Saturday guys!!! This weekend has been much needed after this week. I hope you all have had a good Saturday, we've been painting. That explains the paint on my leg. All three of my cats also make an appearance in this blog post but they're precious so its okay. Look guys, I finally got some white high tops! Now let's get to it!

 I decided to pair this outfit with two different vests. The blue one gives you all those summer vibes while the blue jean is a bit edgier. Both the shirt and the blue vest are from Forever 21. The blue jean vest is from Aeropostale, but I've had it for ages. This shirt is just so fun and I want to wear it all the time! Forever 21 has got some great stuff right now. These shorts are the same ones from my last post, from American Eagle.

Well, what can I say? I finally got a pair and boy it opens up a whole new world of outfit choices. Sadly, I already got purple paint on one of the laces but its all good. I absolutely love them already! The only thing I could say bad is that they are a little stiff because they're new but that shouldn't be a problem for long. They did come from JC Penney but you can buy them at Converse too. There's my three (not so) little munchkins. In the back is Waddles, Orangie, and Fuzzy to the right. Hope you guys enjoy the outfit and the cats! 

Coachella Crazy

 
 Well out in Palm Springs they're rocking out at Coachella and I'm here making blog posts for you wonderful people. I do wish I was there, however. Just think of all the great outfits, music and people. Plus meeting Taylor Swift wouldn't be to bad either. I guess I'm a little Coachella crazy... you see what I did there?

This vest, I mean what can I say? I got it last week from, wait for it..... Forever 21. It's so amazing and so perfect for summer and festivals. The vest is blush colored suede with fringe. *SWOON* Fringe is definitely in this year and what could be better than a fringe vest? If you ask me, the answer would be nothing. This awesome hippy shirt just so happens to also be from Forever 21. I've had it for a little while but you could probably still find it. The sleeves button at the bottom and it has those cute pom poms on the ties. These shorts are from American Eagle and they're same as the others just in black.

This turquoise ring was from my mamaw and it only fits on my pinky. However, wearing rings on your pinky has become a bit of a trend lately, so I think I can get away with it. The other rings are more from the set I bought at Charming Charlie. These rings wear so effortlessly. You can pair them together or just wear one, you could even wear all of them if you wanted. These boots are the same ones from Forever 21. If you were wearing these a lot, they could get uncomfortable but they do look cute. White high tops wouldn't look bad as an alternative. I hope some day we all get to go to music festivals and wear cute outfits and meet Taylor Swift. Until then, a girl can dream.
